Our solid oak flooring is a highly desirable product, creating a classic look for either a modern town house or for a more natural country style. It offers warmth that helps to create an atmosphere of comfort in any home whilst being 100% solid oak for durable strength.
Facts: All of our Tongue and groove flooring is End Matched, which allows the boards to be easily joined together between the joists. Our flooring is supplied unfinished, sanded ready for sealing with Hard Wax Oil or wax polish when laid (see our Finishing page).
Please note further sanding may be required to remove any dirt or debris that the floor has gained during laying. Our oak flooring, rustic grade, does contain knots - these are left unfilled for a truly natural look. Should you wish us to fill and sand the knots - this is a service we offer at an extra £2.50/ m².
Fitting: When it comes to installation, our solid hardwood oak tongue and groove is extremely versatile and easily fits into any situation. The flooring can either be fitted using a cork underlay (see cork info) or by surface nailing to the existing sub floor or joists. Alternatively, should you wish to glue, we supply a suitable adhesive - Granwax 2KPU.

Facts: Our oak plank flooring is available in board widths of 200mm-300mm and in lengths from 1.8m - 4.8m. The oak plank flooring is all machined to order therefore, it is most important to view the timber or a sample before buying. The Rustic grade plank oak contains knots, minor splits and character grain - generally the knots are left unfilled for maximum character.
Fitting: The boards are all square edged therefore they are laid side by side and usually nailed to the joists. The cut nails are most popular for this type of flooring alternatively, you could screw and plug to hide the screw heads however, this method is slightly more labour intensive. The boards can be supplied sanded ready for installation if required at an extra cost of £3.00 /m², we always recommend a final sand prior to laying to remove any dirt or debris that may have occured.
